The people of America are uncomfortable, deeply troubled, confused, and totally outraged

The American people are discomfited by the report that President Bush set aside time each day to read the Bible. Ordinary Americans are frightened by the Bible study sessions Attorney General John Ashcroft, a Pentecostal Christian, holds every morning in his office. The middle class America is seriously concerned that the $1.35 trillion tax cut would put one million more children into poverty. Filled top to bottom with people from the oil industry, Bush’s administration is unsympathetic to the plight of ordinary Americans who are feeling pain at the pump. The administration's energy plan is coming for the children, for the poor, the sick, the elderly, and the disabled. The people of America want cheap gas. They want cheap gas now!
